How Looking Glass Works
A Looking Glass tool works by sending network probes (like pings or traceroutes) to remote devices, which return data on routing paths, latency, and connectivity status for analysis.

Command
- Ping: Test end-to-end network connectivity and latency using the ICMP protocol.
- Traceroute: Discover the network path (each hop) to a target by manipulating the TTL field in packets.

Use Cases
- Route Analysis: Compare paths from BGP, CN2, and GIA lines.
- Fault Finding: Pinpoint network issues with MTR diagnostics.
- Hosting Assessment: Test provider performance on standard and premium routes.
- Path Validation: Verify traffic optimization through high-speed pathways.
